TalkBoard Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and TalkBoard ("we", "us") for the TalkBoard desktop app and service ("TalkBoard"). By creating an account or using TalkBoard you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. What TalkBoard is — and is not
TalkBoard is a control assistant for supported digital mixing consoles. It turns your typed or spoken requests into console commands using artificial intelligence, sends those commands to your console, and can show you a confirmation card first when Show Mode is switched on. TalkBoard is a tool, not an engineer. AI output can be wrong: check what the app sends (switch on Show Mode to confirm each change first), keep console backups/scenes, and use the undo and macro-lockdown features for live shows. You are responsible for what is sent to your equipment.
TalkBoard is not affiliated with or endorsed by Behringer, Midas, Music Tribe, Yamaha, Allen & Heath, or any console manufacturer. Console names are their trademarks. Support for each console is described in the app and may change.
2. Accounts
You must provide an accurate email and keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. TalkBoard is intended for professionals and adults (18+). You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account).
3. Plans, billing, and automatic renewal
Free: a limited, one-time allowance of demo requests (currently 15) with our bundled AI. Saved macros run locally and do not use requests.
Basic ($5 per month), Pro ($10 per month) and Unlimited ($20 per month) are monthly subscriptions. Basic and Pro include a set number of AI requests per billing cycle; Unlimited has no monthly request allowance but is subject to fair-use and anti-abuse limits (per-minute and per-day request rates and a per-cycle usage ceiling) designed for use by a person, not automation, and TalkBoard may throttle or suspend use that exceeds them. Basic and Pro allowances are currently 300 and 750 requests per cycle. Request counts and prices are shown in the app before you subscribe.
Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically every month and your payment method on file is charged the plan price at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel. Your renewal date is shown in the app under Account.
How to cancel. You can cancel at any time, online, in as few steps as it took to sign up: in the app go to Settings → Account → Manage or Cancel Subscription, which opens your secure Stripe billing portal where you can cancel with a click. You can also email admin@talkboard.com with the subject "Cancel my TalkBoard subscription" and we will cancel within one business day. Cancellation stops future charges; your plan stays active until the end of the cycle you already paid for. You can also cancel by deleting your account.
Upgrades, changes, and refunds. Upgrading mid-cycle charges the prorated difference shown to you before you confirm. Fees are otherwise non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion — if something went wrong, email us and we will make it right. We may change prices or plan limits with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply at your next renewal.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse TalkBoard: no attempts to circumvent plan limits or rate limits, reverse engineer the service, scrape or overload it, use it to harm others, or violate law. We may suspend accounts that do. Our bundled AI access is for use within the TalkBoard app.
5. Your content
You own your commands, macros, and channel names. You give us a limited license to process them to run TalkBoard as described in the Privacy Policy. Please don't send us other people's personal information or confidential data you are not allowed to share.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
TalkBoard is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not guarantee that AI output will be accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TalkBoard is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost shows, equipment damage, or data loss arising from use of TalkBoard, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
7. Changes and termination
We may update TalkBoard and these terms; for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms. You may stop using TalkBoard and delete your account at any time.
8. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, except where your local law gives you non-waivable rights. Questions: admin@talkboard.com.
